Understanding the Recent Overhaul of the Foster Care System in Texas
Guest Speakers:

Director of Child Welfare Policy, One Voice Texas
OBJECTIVES:
- Understanding the children’s rights lawsuit
- Understanding new Texas legislation that will lead to major systemic changes to the Texas foster care system and the potential impacts on children in care
- Understanding changes in community based care and the outsourcing of foster care services and foster care management
- Understanding other legislative changes impacting the child welfare system
(3.0 CEs will be provided for LPC, LMFT, CPE, and Social Work.)
Half-day training for non-members are $10; Free for members
(fees include refreshments).
